<p>On the evening of October 1st, Jack London Square will host Full Moon Buy Night, a night market in the festive tradition of Italian village fairs, the German holiday market, and the Moroccan bazaar. Running from 5:30PM to 9:30PM, the event will celebrate all things Oakland. The market will feature local artisans and merchants selling their wares, accompanied by live music, strolling entertainers, ice skating, and delicious food. Skate rentals and admission to the rink will cost only $5. The rink will be open Monday through Saturday 12PM to 8PM and from 11AM to 7PM on Sundays with sessions starting each half hour. What: Light The Night is The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) annual evening fundraising walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.
Participants walk along a one to two mile route carrying illuminated balloons-white for patients and survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of someone who has lost their life to a blood cancer.
When: Saturday, October 3rd, 2009. Registration begins at 5pm, and the walk begins at 7pm.
